History:

The Cinemacinco group is the soundtrack for those who, having left their homeland, rush around with a bag full of dreams tied to their backs.

 

Humor and love let them live Colombia intensively. They go for putting their fingers on the sore spots to the sound of the gozadera and the rumba. For saying one truth or another to the popular rythms with a pinch of rock. This is the connecting agent with the past; this is what their music sounds like.

 

This group wants to form their own republic that they have named “The Republic of Joy”. They are a bit of lounge music, a pinch of salsa and passages of good mood. Each time that the agenda permits it they strike down at any neighborhood corner shop, marketplace or hairdresser to play. To them this is a “Tour around the block” where the logic of the show is inverted, as it is a group that goes to see a public and not the other way around. They come from the Colombian department Valle del Cauca, but everything takes place in Bogotá, the capital, for now.

 

In their songs there is a good mix of joy and nostalgia, “Perro Callejero” is the song of the bohemian in love, who visits the bars of the town searching for what he has not lost...
